PROJECTSIntroduction [Biosketch]
- Dr Ganesh Prasad is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at National Institute of Technology Silchar and leads the Green Communications Systems Lab. He received his Bachelor of Technology from SASTRA University Thanjavur in 2010 and Master of Technology in Communication Systems from IIT BHU Varanasi in 2012. He obtained his PhD from National Institute of Technology Silchar in 2019 in the area of Green Communications and Networking. His doctoral research focused on Quality of Service aware green communication strategies for optimal utilization of resources in wireless networks.
- He previously served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Linkoping University Sweden where his research focused on low complexity digital predistortion and power amplifier linearization for massive MIMO transmitters. His research interests include Integrated Sensing and Communication AI assisted sustainable networks massive MIMO UAV assisted communications Intelligent Reflecting Surfaces wireless power transfer Free Space Optical communications and underwater networks.
- Dr Ganesh Prasad has published research in leading IEEE journals and regularly contributes to international conferences including IEEE ICC WCNC GLOBECOM and PIMRC. He currently serves as an Investigator for two nationally funded projects and one internationally funded project. He is also a member of the Bureau of Indian Standards Working Committee on Standardisation contributing to national efforts in developing future wireless communication technologies.
- He actively guides PhD MTech and BTech scholars in advanced wireless communications signal processing and AI driven networking. With prior industry experience at STMicroelectronics and experience as a reviewer for leading IEEE journals and conferences he is committed to bridging theoretical research practical innovation and education. His research vision focuses on developing sustainable intelligent energy efficient and future ready wireless communication systems.
