PROJECTIntroduction [Biosketch]
- Dr. R. K. Karsh obtained his Bachelor of Engineering from Government Engineering College, Bilaspur in 2009. He completed his M.Tech. in 2012 from NIT Patna, followed by a Ph.D. from NIT Silchar in 2018.
- He began his academic career as a Junior Teaching-cum-Research Fellow at the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra (Patna Campus) on 28th September 2010, where he served for 2 years and 7 months. He was subsequently appointed as an Assistant Professor at NIT Silchar, joining the institute on 14th May 2013.
- His research interests include Computer Vision, Image and Video Processing, Deep Learning, and Medical Image Processing. He is currently coordinating a SERB-CRG project as Principal Investigator (PI).
- Dr. Karsh has an impressive academic output, including 1 book, 3 patents, 9 book chapters, and over 50 research papers in reputed journals and conferences. He has received best paper awards for his contributions to research.
- He is a Senior Member of IEEE and a Fellow of IETE, and he actively contributes as an invited reviewer for many reputed journals and international conferences.
