Faculty Achievements

• Padmabhusan Amarjeet Singh Young Scientist Award 2024 has been awarded to Dr. Gaurav Singh Baghel during the VEDA-2024 conference.
• Dr. Devendra Singh Gurjar has been appointed as an Editorial Board Member of the Scientific Reports-Nature Journal.
• Dr. P. Puspa Devi and Dr. Rajesh Saha have been recognized among the top 2% of scientists globally, marking a proud achievement for NIT Silchar.
• The faculty team of the Department of ECE won the Major Dhyan Chand Trophy 2024.

Students Achievements

• The team from NIT Silchar, comprising Kishan Mittal, Ayush Maurya, and our mentor, Dr. Koushik Guha Sir, has been selected to represent Assam in the Zonal Round (North Eastern States) of the RBI90 Quiz.
• ECE students Kishan Mittal, Ayush Maurya, and Kashish Sharma, has been awarded seed funding of INR 25 Lakhs and incubation support from STPI for their AgroBotix Solutions, making them the only team from all NITs to succeed in OCP 5.0 at the STPI OctaNE CoE, Guwahati.
• ECE students won 3rd prize in the students design contest in IISc Bangalore in July 2024.
